“Today, we celebrated the power and unity of women in film as we came together from every discipline within our industry to honor emerging women filmmakers who are inspiring the future of cinema,” Yang said. “A special thank you to our partner Chanel for its generous support and shared commitment to amplifying the voices of talented women filmmakers worldwide. As part of the Academy’s global talent development and inclusion work, the Gold Fellowship for Women is a one-year program that combines support, personalized mentorship and access to once-in-a-lifetime networking opportunities for emerging women filmmakers to further their pursuits in the field of cinema. The Academy currently awards two fellowships annually, one to a U.S.-based filmmaker and one to a non-U.S.-based filmmaker.

The partnership between Chanel and the Academy Gold Fellowship for Women reflects the House’s deep commitment to the art of film and to nurturing the next generation of women filmmakers. The West Hollywood Edition partners with artist Becky Hearn on a festive installation

The West Hollywood Edition has unveiled a festive partnership with multidisciplinary artist, photographer and florist Becky Hearn for the hotel’s 2024 holiday installation: “The Tree of Memory.”

Renowned for her creative work within the music and fashion industries, including collaborations with fashion retailers FWRD and Revolve, as well as her floral design studio, Hearn brings her visual storytelling aptitude to the Edition’s Sunset Strip outpost this season.

Hearn’s unique take on the traditional Christmas tree is a masterful presentation of floral composition and thoughtful design, inviting guests and viewers to interact with the immersive display.

“The Tree of Memory” presents an immersive installation that reimagines a conventional floral arrangement into a sculptural masterpiece, while incorporating a digital media element: an integrated video camera that projects subjects on a display screen. The engaging experience will invite guests and viewers to interact with the tree, extending an opportunity to create and capture memories of one’s own.

“The goal is to transform the familiar symbol of the Christmas tree into an interactive experience where guests become a part of the artwork. By offering a personalized, branded moment, ‘The Tree of Memory’ reflects my work as a director and photographer, where natural beauty and visual storytelling converge,” Hearn said.

The installation will live in the hotel’s lobby and is on-view to the public until New Year’s Eve.

District Vision and New Balance unveil their latest collaboration

District Vision, the Los Angeles-based company that designs athletic apparel and eyewear for mindful athletes, has collaborated with New Balance on a new trail running shoe.

For their fourth partnership, The Trail Running Shoe emphasizes hand-drawn, organic contours over geometric precision, creating a dynamic yet crafted aesthetic reminiscent of the early 2000s running shoe.

The base print material is translucent ReGrind, a proprietary New Balance recycled compound sourced from car tires and running shoe soles, layered with 3D and rubberized prints for added depth and durability. Key details include a red dot beside the “N,” nodding to the brand’s Japanese eyewear endeavors, and an oversized co-branded woven tongue label. A subtle halftone print enriches the bottom mesh layer.

The outsole employs Vibram EcoStep Natural technology. Colors are derived from naturally occurring substances: charcoal-based pigments (Carbo Ligni) for the Black design and a titanium dioxide/charcoal blend for the Bone option. The sole composition incorporates over 90% petroleum-free materials, highlighting an intentional focus on reducing environmental impact through advanced material science.

The Trail Running Shoe comes in two colors (Black and Bone) and retails for $195. It is available now at districtvision.com and newbalance.com, along with select retailers internationally.

Jil Sander launches a fine jewelry collection

Milan-based luxury brand Jil Sander has announced the launch of its first fine jewelry collection. Inspired by the natural world, the fine jewelry collection embodies lightness in both matter and spirit while the forms are organic.

Made with 18-karat gold and lab-grown diamonds, using the most advanced goldsmith technologies and the expertise of Italian traditional crafts, every piece is unique as they are created through lost wax casting. The hand-polished surfaces are voluntarily imperfect and diamonds are round cut and embedded by hand under a microscope, but never aligned.

Fused in white gold, rhodium plated and dotted with diamonds in three different sizes, the fractal form of the “Branch” series finds its balance between the imperfection of its natural shape and the seamless execution of the design. The inside of the ring, choker, bracelet and earrings, meanwhile, are hollow, making them light and comfortable.

The “Astral” necklace and bracelet are with a flat snake chain, combining a triple welded and diamond-coated curb and a lobster clasp closure. The “Astral” yellow gold pendants, embedded with a diamond, draw the outline of a satellite with a vibrating surface, which is achieved by flattening the metal with a 300-tons press used to mint coins.

The “Drop” ring and earrings are light, elliptical miniature sculptures in smooth yellow gold that push micro-casting and goldsmithing to their technical limits with perfect, clean edges and a shiny, highly reflective surface obtained by roughing and polishing the jewels by hand.

Established in 1968 by Jil Sander, the brand has been under the creative direction of Lucie and Luke Meier since 2017. The fine jewelry collection will be available in boutiques and JilSander.com beginning next year.

Doug Aitken’s “Lightscape” to open at Marciano Art Foundation

Marciano Art Foundation (MAF) has announced the opening of Doug Aitken’s ambitious “Lightscape” installation.

“Lightscape” builds upon Aitken’s practice of creating larger-than-life, multi-sensory artworks that address interconnectedness through depictions of Southern California and the American West.

“Lightscape” was created in collaboration with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. At the core of the work is a feature-length film, a multi-screen fine art installation and a series of live musical performances. “Lightscape” creates a modern mythology asking the questions, “Where are we now?” and, “Where are we going?”

The seven-channel installation will prominently feature a soundscape of original vocal pieces by iconic minimalists such as Philip Glass, Meredith Monk and Steve Reich, alongside ambient soundscapes composed for the film by Aitken, Beck and others.

Weekly programming tied to “Lightscape” will feature special performances from members of the L.A. Philharmonic, L.A. Master Chorale and other artists each Saturday afternoon at the foundation through the run of the installation.

Born in Redondo Beach and now based in Venice, Aitken is a multidisciplinary artist whose body of work ranges from photography, print media, sculpture and architectural interventions, to narrative films, sound, single and multi-channel video works, installations and live performance.

Free, advance tickets are available here, with tickets for “Lightscape” Saturday performances available soon.

Gigi Hadid’s cashmere brand Guest in Residence lands in Beverly Hills

Guest in Residence, the cashmere brand founded and creatively directed by supermodel Gigi Hadid, has opened its first store in Los Angeles.

“As we expand to the West Coast, our L.A. flagship is an ever-evolving canvas to showcase our 100% cashmere collections,” Hadid said. “Our vision was a space that’s warm and inviting, where our heirloom pieces are effortlessly integrated into the flow and décor. I love how the store captures the feeling of barefoot California luxury, that’s relaxed yet sophisticated at the same time — just like our cashmere.”

Designed in partnership with L.A.-based Yaoska Interiors, the space consciously combines a palette of warm and organic materials for a welcoming, comforting aesthetic. Natural stone and plaster textures are juxtaposed against custom fixtures and shelves crafted from rift-cut oak. Cobbled floors, antique iron sconces and a custom-made fireplace are a nod to Spanish Revival, while cozy and oversized chairs invite shoppers to gather, converse and relax.

Inspired by Hadid’s own outdoor holidays in the countryside, the fitting rooms mimic rustic cabins. Constructed from Douglas Fir wood and carpeted in bright colors, they’re offset by a calming limewash tone called “cashmere” on all walls. For decoration, hand-selected studio pottery, vintage pieces and experimental artwork bring a colorful touch to the space. In keeping with the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability, the store was constructed using all low-impact materials, including white oak clothing racks, forged metal lighting and antique hardware.

A curated mix of the Fall 2024 and Winter 2024 collections will be available in the L.A. store, which will also host the brand’s Take-Back program, which allows customers to return gently worn Guest in Residence items to be recycled, in exchange for 10% off their next purchase. The returned items are then sent to Italy’s Re.Verso, a facility that reengineers recovered materials and transforms them into regenerated 100% wool and 100% cashmere.

The L.A. store is Guest in Residence’s second freestanding location, joining its flagship at 21 Bond St. in New York City, which was also designed by Yaoska Davila. The L.A. store also follows successful pop-ups in New York, Aspen and at Le Bon Marché in Paris.

Guest in Residence is open now at 433 N Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills, California, 90210.

Drawing from the core themes of Frequency, the four-piece dinnerware set encapsulates the intimate dialogue between materials, frequencies and human connection. Each piece is a harmonious blend of form and intention, designed to transform dining into a sensory and emotional experience.

“Through this collection, I wanted to create objects that hold intention and emanate it back to the person experiencing them,” Hayek said. “With Ginori 1735, we’ve been able to transform the patterns that inspired Frequency into tangible designs that promote connection and beauty into everyday moments.”

The Ginori 1735 Corona Collection serves as the perfect canvas for Hayek’s innovative designs. Known for its refined curves and iconic ribbon of color, Corona elevates the visual impact of Hayek’s patterns. Each handcrafted piece reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and tradition, while Hayek’s designs infuse them with contemporary meaning and vibrancy.

The set includes a charger plate, dinner plate, starter plate and soup bowl and retails for $725.

Métier launches a range of evening bags for the holiday season

Luxury leather goods house Métier has launched a new evening-focused range for the brand’s core collection.

Sought after styles such as the Mini Roma, Ease and Stowaway are now fashioned in an exquisite Italian silk satin, the fabric sourced for its decadent opacity and subjected to several rounds of bonding trials to eschew any wrinkling. The palette is discreet and restrained in either classic black or midnight blue – the latter shade an ode to Yves Saint Laurent, who famously favored a midnight tuxedo

Founded by creative director Melissa Morris in 2017, Métier is a collection of essentials made for modern life realized in the most luxurious and considered manner. Designs stem from experience, countless consultations and conversations with discerning friends, global travelers, and avid collectors, coupled with the desire to simplify. The result is an exacting collection set to solve modern day grievances and streamline life exquisitely.

Morris has always been mindful of conscious consumption and began her brand with an anti-replacement strategy, the antithesis of the logo stamped seasonal bags which are marked down and forgotten about as trends shift. She works exclusively with generational family ateliers in Italy, and the bags are tested for 20 years of weather damage to ensure they truly stand the test of time.

Métier’s devotees include HRH Princess of Wales, Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman, Brooke Shields, Conan O’Brien, Alexa Chung, Huma Abedin, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Nathalie Emmanuel and Idris Elba, amongst others. She has collaborated with the “Indiana Jones” movie franchise, jeweler Fernando Jorge, Marie-Louise Scio’s Issimo, and Gucci Westman’s Westman Atelier.

“Thom Browne: The Man Who Tailors Dreams” premieres in NYC

A new documentary exploring the life and career of fashion designer Thom Browne premiered at the at IFC Center in Manhattan on Nov. 15.

Written and directed by Reiner Holzemer, “Thom Browne: The Man Who Tailors Dreams” is a definitive portrait of the pioneering American fashion designer whose visionary reinvention of the tailored grey suit revolutionized fashion by challenging established notions of how men and women are expected to dress. Worn by everyone from David Bowie to Michelle Obama, his designs have been embraced by fashion royalty and quickly become synonymous with individuality, confidence, freedom and fluidity.

Featuring exclusive access to Browne’s personal archives and interviews with icons from across the fashion world, including Anna Wintour, Diane Keaton, Janet Jackson, Ayo Edebiri and Browne’s partner Andrew Bolton, the film chronicles the designer’s rise from obscurity to fashion stardom, showcasing how his visionary style and relentless passion have reshaped the world of modern fashion.

The documentary follows Browne over the course of two years observing five collections and shows starting with the first one after COVID and ending with his first Haute Couture Show in May 2023 in Paris. It also looks back at the designer’s career, which began with a shrunken grey suit that nobody knew what to make of.

Roger Vivier presents the second installation of the “Vivier Express: Travelling Icons”

Roger Vivier has unveiled the second installation of “Vivier Express: Travelling Icons,” starring actress Eva Green.

The series of whimsical short films, imagined by creative director Gherardo Felloni, celebrates the maison’s iconic designs and takes place aboard the Vivier Express, a luxurious train epitomizing the refinement of a bygone era.

This succession to Episode I, which starred Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern, unapologetically borrows from the classic film noir genre.

“Films noir has always fascinated me,” Felloni said. “It’s a world where shadows speak, and every glance hides a secret. I wanted Eva to be our modern-day femme fatale, because she doesn’t just wear the shoes and accessories; she brings them to life, infusing them with a sense of danger and desire.”

Italian director Nicolangelo Gelormini, screenwriter Andrea Danese and Studio Paura partnered once more with Felloni’s creative direction, artfully weaving together elements of design, décor, cinema and psychological intrigue, reaffirming the maison’s commitment to celebrate fashion through art.

The chosen medium of film captures the essence of Roger Vivier’s elegance and the impenetrable charm of Green, creating a mesmerizing visual narrative that transcends the ordinary to venture into realms of enigmatic dreams and concealed desires.

“It’s been my absolute pleasure to work with Gherardo Felloni,” Green said. “The first time I met him, it was a complete ‘coup de foudre’ for the wonderful man and his beautiful shoes! I was delighted to be cast in his film for Roger Vivier and I look forward to sharing it with audiences.”

Barbour reunites with “Shaun the Sheep” for its 2024 Christmas campaign

Having successfully patched up The Farmer’s waxed jacket last year, the “Shaun the Sheep” flock is back for more adventures with English heritage and lifestyle brand Barbour for their 2024 Christmas campaign.

This time, Barbour focuses on its unique and much-loved accessories that give the gift of warmth this winter. Alongside the new advertising spot, Barbour has created 30 limited edition “Re-loved” “Shaun the Sheep”-inspired wax jackets, with all proceeds going to Oxfam, the global organization that works to end poverty and injustice.

Created by the team at Aardman, using their trademark stop-motion animation, the seasonal short has been carefully crafted in their Bristol studio, bringing Barbour to life on Mossy Bottom Farm once again.

With a nod to last year’s campaign, which demonstrated the importance of extending the life of garments, this year, Barbour’s 30 jackets serve as a follow-up to the Re-loved partnership with Glastonbury and Oxfam earlier in the year. Each of the Re-loved jackets will be totally unique and incorporate “Shaun the Sheep” inspiration, including a faux shearling inner liner, cuffs and full collar. A “Baabour” Shaun pin badge will also be incorporated, alongside a “Shaun the Sheep” key ring and embroidery to the front pocket making them truly collectible items. All money raised from jackets sold will go to helping Oxfam’s lifesaving work.

Paul Wilkinson, Barbour’s group commercial director, said, “After the success of last year’s campaign, we are excited to be collaborating with Aardman for another year. A British brand that shares our core values of craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality. The Barbour and Aardman customer is multi-generational, which was a big part of the inspiration behind this campaign. This year we are pleased to support Oxfam, giving 30 people the opportunity to purchase a unique, limited-edition Barbour x Shaun the Sheep Re-loved wax jacket with all proceeds going to the charity.”

Founded in England by John Barbour in 1894, Barbour has become synonymous with the British countryside. Beloved by everyone from Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Moss to David Beckham, the brand’s clothing and accessories combine years of expert craftsmanship with timeless design.

Scarosso launches a capsule collection with Marta Pozzan

Italian luxury footwear brand Scarosso has teamed up with actress, model and influencer Marta Pozzan on a capsule collection.

Centered on a bold wedge sole, the line features three statement styles: two daring décolleté variations and an over-the-knee stretch boot. Each piece is crafted with luxe materials like satin, patent, faux crocodile and calf leather, blending classic Italian craftsmanship with Pozzan’s striking, modern style.

“I love shoes more than any other accessory, and I’ve always wanted to create my own knee-high vinyl wedge boots,” the Italian-born, Los Angeles-based Pozzan said. “Partnering with Scarosso felt like a natural fit due to my Italian roots. They are a leader in luxury-quality footwear, making it the perfect match.”

To celebrate the launch, Pozzan hosted a party in the Hollywood Hills on Nov. 13. Guests including Laysla De Oliveira, Chloe Cherry, Alessandro Morelli, Aaron Dominguez, Natalia Bonifacci, Adam Ballheim, Raquel Deriane, Ava Vegas, The Williams Twins, Wyomi Reed, Martin Perry Lutz, Eli Rivkin and Leah Talabi were greeted by paparazzi style photographers at the step and repeat and served authentic Italian food, including arancini, tuna tartare and pomodoro pasta, prepared by chef Arturo Avallone using ingredients from Eataly.

Bartenders, meanwhile, poured sparkling wine by Franciacorta and signature cocktails made with Luna Nueva Premium Tequila. The night included a DJ set and custom tattoos by artist Sima Jo.

Nahmias opens its new Venice storefront

Nahmias, the California-born fashion brand, has opened its first retail store.

The new Venice space embodies the laid-back style that’s core to the brand, while the design tells its story through architectural details that blend California’s natural beauty with elements inspired by skate and street culture.

Inside the shop, a concrete wave wall symbolizes the state’s rugged mountains meeting the sea and custom clothing racks were crafted to resemble handrails, a nod to the brand’s skateboarding influence. An elevated area for merchandise, meanwhile, reflects the shape of a skate ramp. Uniquely cut windows showcase the Nahmais logo — the square-circle-square — a tribute to California’s iconic Route 101 and the Pacific Coast Highway.

Beyond retail, the store offers spaces for community engagement, including a basketball court in the parking lot and a skate halfpipe in the back patio lounge.

Founded in 2018 by Doni Nahmias, the surf and skate-inspired label has released six seasonal collections and collaborated on special projects with iconic retailers such as Maxfield, Harrods, The Webster and Patron of the New. Celebrity fans of the line include Machine Gun Kelly, Justin and Hailey Bieber, J Balvin, Future, Jack Harlow and Lewis Hamilton.

The proliferation of documentaries, television series and feature movies about fashion brands and designers is a testimony of the powerful omnipresence that fashion has asserted in contemporary culture. It is a blessing and a curse.

Fashion has never been so dangerously popular and ubiquitous in our lives; that is not a surprise, considering that the richest people in the world are members of fashion elites — the Arnault, the Pinault, the Prada, to say a few — and that fashion designers like Marc Jacobs and Kim Kardashian live the well-documented life of princes and princesses, in golden cages and ivory towers. Everybody wants to be a designer, a stylist, a celebrity dressed in fashionable clothes who gets a ticket into the MET Gala.

It was not always like that. For centuries, a career in fashion was not the most popular choice, in particular growing up 50 years ago in the American province, in a traditional middle-class family of lawyers, one of seven kids, like Thom Browne did.

“Thom Browne: The Man Who Tailors Dreams” by director Reiner Holzemer, who previously made films on fashion icons like Martin Margiela, chronicles the making of the designer’s collections in New York and his haute couture debut in Paris. The non-chronological narrative gives the context of Browne’s arrival as an outsider into the fashion world and explains how he matured his unique and uncompromising vision. The movie, beautifully shot in a naturalistic light, captures the spontaneity of the work of the designers and his team. Friends’ and collaborators’ voices and faces are mixed with the predictable Anna Wintour and Tim Blanks appearances, and they point the viewer in the right direction and fill the gaps in the story of Browne’s life and business.

Most impressive is the calm and soothing voice of Browne himself, who with sincerity and humor tries to decode his own life and narrate his career, with a sense of wonder and joy for the magic of his work — the same sense that always comes through in his clothes and in his shows. The bond between Andrew Bolton, the powerful MET Fashion Institute Curator and Browne’s life companion, is also moving for the intensity, the sincerity, the tenderness, the respect for each other, which may surprise even the most skeptic and critical viewer.

On full display throughout the over 100 minutes of the movie, is Browne’s regulated family life, chauffeured in a black shiny Mercedes from his perfectly decorated townhouse in Sutton Place to his surgically designed showrooms, offices and shops. He lives in a timeless capsule, in a parallel world, where, assisted by an army of his clones, he walks in everyday with his dog in tow, wearing his signature gray suit, the proportions of which are altered and twisted: the shrunken jacket, shirt and tie, knit vest and the child-like short pants, worn with high, striped socks and black heavy brogues.

He brings to his creative work on clothes the discipline of an athlete, the swimmer he was in his youth, the dedication to his job similar to that of a humble priest in a religious cult where everybody is invited to participate. He creates uniforms, his gray suit in a thousand variations, because uniforms are, in his words, a social equalizer that can also celebrate everyone’s uniqueness in the sameness of the clothing. Here, in Browne’s perfect universe, we never hear anybody screaming, we do not see any tears, we do not sense any fights.

His fashion shows are perfectly thought, coordinated, reversed and executed in every detail, from head to toe, from the contorted finger nails to the animal headgear and the ball-shaped shoes. There are no model late arrivals, no clothes disappearing, no location cancellations. There are no fashion dramas — the only tense moment in the movie when a model forgets to wear her jacket for the finale of the show, where she drives a skeleton of a pink Cadillac at the Opera Garnier in Paris, doesn’t count.

Who, then, is Browne and why is he so fascinating to the old and the young, all over the world? What makes him so relevant in contemporary fashion? Is it his maniacal persona and his looks? Is it that combination, so rare in fashion as Bolton clearly explains, of a conceptual approach to fashion with a deep craftsmanship knowledge? Is it the control factor, the uncompromising, laser-sharp vision of the designer?

Holzemer’s beautiful and manicured images do not answer the question but lay out all the elements to formulate that answer and to offer an understanding of the man in the gray suit.

Browne is the fashion designer for the times we live in. He really is a multimedia artist who chooses to use fashion as his preferred format for expressing his vision, his emotional life — to tell his story over and over, for dealing with his angels and his demons.

If Browne were born 50 years earlier than his time, probably he would have been an opera composer like Puccini. If he were born only 20 years earlier, he would have been a film director like Coppola. Working in fashion was a deliberate choice because by the end of the ’90s, fashion was, and has been for the last two decades, the best media to express a personal vision. It is the place where immense human and financial resources come together with a global audience, with a deep emotional reach. The place where art and commerce can merge and make the impossible possible — not once, not every few years like in the movie industry, but every season, year after year!

After his happy all-American upbringing in his large family in Allentown, Pennsylvania; after his Notre Dame University varsity days and his identity searching as a scrambling actor in Los Angeles; after his friendship with Libertine’s Johnson Hartig and his first job in New York at Ralph Lauren, he still did not know anything about designing clothes and had no formal or technical education in fashion. He started making suits for himself with an old Long Island Italian tailor and selling them to friends, tailored with no compromises to his vision, traditional and transgressive at the same time.

That suit, with those child-like proportions, changed menswear history. He says, in his words, that ignorance was a blessing because his imagination never had the inhibition of the designers who come out of fashion school; he says that he does not start a collection from a mood board or a system of reference, but from a concept, an idea in his mind, with his eyes closed and his mind open. He has a vision and then an army of tailors, embroiders, assistants, hat makers and prop stylists will help him to bring it to life in exceptional shows that are more theater, operas and performance than fashion runways. The narrative of his shows, so important and clear to him, is, in reality, never literal or consequential; his shows have the quality of dreams where time jumps backward and forward. The clothes are always props, the costumes for expressing what is in his head.

Then, Browne’s omnipresent shrunken suit with all its variations for men and women alike, are what clouds are for Magritte and his flannel gray is what a certain kind of blue in for William Klein. A signature, a code, a beginning and an end.

“Gladiator II” pulled out all the stops Monday night while celebrating its Los Angeles premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre — and everyone got to keep their head, too!

Stars Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington were in attendance for the well-heeled Hollywood fête as heavyweight actors, influencers and industry power players turned out to toast Ridley Scott and Paramount Pictures’ highly anticipated, decades-in-the-making sequel to their 2001 Best Picture Oscar winner, “Gladiator.”

The star of that original bloody epic, Russell Crowe, also took home that year’s Academy Award for Best Actor. Could Mescal follow suit? Or perhaps supporting attention for Washington or Pedro Pascal? Or at long last, will Scott take home the year’s top prize for directing?

Only time will tell what awaits “Gladiator II.” (Its predecessor also grossed over $460 million worldwide, so hopes are high.) But on Monday, Hollywood was alight with excitement over the two-and-half-hour epic, also starring Connie Nielsen, “Stranger Things” breakout Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger of “The White Lotus” fame.

Paramount will release “Gladiator II” only in theaters on Nov. 22, including in Imax and large formats.

Check out who was in attendance on the Chinese Theatre’s red carpet in our photo gallery below.

Hedges Projects announces the exclusive representation of The Jon Gould Collection of Andy Warhol Photographs

Hedges Projects, the world’s leader in the purchase and sale of Andy Warhol photography, has announced the exclusive representation of The Jon Gould Collection of Andy Warhol Photographs.

The Jon Gould Collection of Andy Warhol Photographs includes hundreds of unique silver gelatin prints gifted by Andy Warhol to Jon Gould during their relationship. Upon Gould’s death in 1986, due to complications related to AIDS, the collection passed to his family, through whom the works are now available exclusively through Hedges Projects.

The most photographed subject of Andy Warhol’s art-making career, Gould was born in Massachusetts to an East Coast establishment family with lineage back to the Mayflower and is best known as a Paramount Pictures film executive and Warhol’s final partner. Warhol photographed Gould constantly when they were together and created a silkscreen portrait of him in 1981.

The Jon Gould Collection of Andy Warhol Photographs features scores of heroic portraits of Gould along with other notable subjects such as Mick Jagger, Bianca Jagger and Robert Rauschenberg. The works in this collection depict events and activities from The Andy Warhol Diaries (editor Pat Hackett) and the Netflix series of the same name. They are also found in The Andy Warhol Photography Archive at The Cantor Arts Center of Stanford University.

The combination of Warhol’s Diaries and the Photo Archive enables scholars, students, curators and collectors to research and contextualize these works in a singular manner providing insight into the artist and his subjects unlike any other medium. These works have never been commercially exhibited nor made available for purchase. A series of exhibitions is planned for venues in the United States and Europe in 2025.

TWP opens their first West Coast boutique in West Hollywood

American sportswear brand TWP has opened its first West Coast boutique on Melrose Place, joining the brand’s Sag Harbor location and its New York flagship on Howard St. in SoHo, which also serves as home to the brand’s design atelier and showroom.

Each collection is grounded in uncompromising quality and craftsmanship, with fabrics predominantly sourced from the finest mills in Italy, and locally manufactured in New York City. Wescoat Pound, Dree Hemingway and Laurel Pantin hosted an opening party where friends of the brand, including Andrew Rosen, Emma and Jens Grede, Noora Raj Brown, Karina Fontes, Gregg Renfrew, Danielle Sherman, Michèle Ouellet Benson, Zoë de Givenchy, Charlotte D’Alessio and Sam Wasson, enjoyed Ranch Water cocktails in the Flamingo Estate scented space, followed by a dinner at Craig’s.

TWP is open now at 8459 Melrose Pl., Los Angeles.
